Radiation Monitoring Instruments (RMIs)

Portable, handheld devices (typically Geiger-Müller counters or Pressurized/non pressurized Ion Chambers) used to detect and measure ambient ionizing radiation fields. They provide instantaneous readings of dose rate (e.g., mR/hr or µSv/hr) to identify the presence and intensity of radiation.

Dose Calibrator

A well-type ionization chamber used specifically in Nuclear Medicine to measure the activity (in Curies or Becquerels) of radioactive isotopes (like Tc-99m, I-131, F-18) before administration to patients.

Brachytherapy Chamber

Well-type ionization chambers designed to hold radioactive sources directly inside them. Used to measure the source strength (Air Kerma Strength) of High Dose Rate (HDR) or Low Dose Rate (LDR) brachytherapy sources (typically Ir-192 or Co-60).

Teletherapy Chambers

High-precision "thimble" ionization chambers (Farmer type) connected to a high-grade electrometer. These are the "Gold Standard" for measuring the absolute output of Radiotherapy machines (Linacs, Cobalt-60 units).
