VenScan™ Radioaerosol Administration System
The VenScan™ IV Radioaerosol Delivery System features a small baffle within the nebulizer to produce an opmal parcle size, resulng in a sharp image, quickly. In addion, the kit includes a pleated hydrophilic HEPA filter which traps moisture. This makes it ideal for radioaerosol studies by impeding humidified radiaon from passing through. Tried and tested, the pleated contour increases surface area to decrease breathing resistance, making it virtually resistancefree with exceponal trapping efficiency.
Simple Steps to Perform a Study
System design reduces setup me
• kit automacally locks into posion
• one step oxygen connecon to dedicated external port
• precise injecon port alignment
• push buon disposal of used kit
Fully enclosed lead shieding from top to boom
• Uses HEPA filter for increased trapping efficiency and resisitancefree breathing
• Trapping efficiency greater that 99.9%Small baffle design ensures homogeneous distribuon
• Mean parcle size = 0.50 microns
• Lightweight and portable, weighs only 8 lb (3.7 kg)
Full Technologist Protecon
The VenScan IV shield is an enclosure providing leadshielded protecon from top to boom. The shield is completely enclosed, providing leadshielded protecon from top to boom. The VenScan IV Disposable Kit includes everything needed for a single study including a comfortable, natural contour mouthpiece, HEPA filter, nose clip and disposal bag. The system uses cleanbore straight path tubing (superior to corrugated) to ensure that parcles cannot get trapped in any internal ridges that typically cause clumping. The top of the canister has a shielded sliding port to accommodate the VenPak Accessory Kit for venlatorassisted paents. An IV pole mount is included with the shield for convenient posioning and administraon. IV pole is not part of supply. Paents and technologists have always been comfortable and confident with the VenScan. And, when the paent is comfortable, the procedure goes smoothly, without interrupon. The end result is a superior study.
